General: Since the FuG 16 ZS on-board radio was intended for a different purpose, it differs significantly from the other variants of the FuG 16. The frequency range of this special version for attack aircraft was between 40.3 and 44.7 MHz, with a weak overlap, above the other FuG 16 radios. The FuG 16 ZS was primarily intended for BzE radio traffic to the liaison force. Approach to the target with the AFN2 display device on VHF beacons was possible.
