Original WWII German tropical visor cap (Tropenschirmmütze) complete with its original detachable neck flap. Constructed in tan tropical cotton twill and retaining its period leather chinstrap with painted steel buckle.

The cap is fitted with finely embroidered national eagle and cockade. The removable neck curtain remains complete with its original buttons and attachment points. The interior retains its characteristic red cotton lining and is stamped Size 56.

The exterior fabric displays an attractive, untouched field-used appearance with natural fading and honest age. The visor, chinstrap, ventilation eyelets and overall construction remain in very good condition for a wartime tropical cap.
