Original, Very nice WWII German Luftwaffe Daimler-Benz DB 605 Einspritzpumpe Einspritzgerat, Gerat Nr 9-2274 A-1. 

The Daimler-Benz DB 605 is a German aircraft engine built during World War II. Developed from the DB 601, the DB 605 was used from 1942 to 1945 in the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter, and the Bf 110 and Me 210C heavy fighters. 

The DB 610, a pair of DB 605s geared to turn a single output shaft that replaced the similar DB 606, was used in the A-3 and all A-5 variants of Germany's only operational heavy bomber, the Heinkel He 177A.

General: The injection pump is mounted on the underside of the engine between the charge air lines/cylinders. The pump's job is to inject a precisely tailored amount of fuel into the cylinders via injectors. The pump itself is driven by the device drive, which first drives a camshaft, which then activates the 12 piston pumps, from which the fuel is then delivered via lines to the injection nozzles. A breather (device no.:  9-2274 K-4) is also mounted on the pump, which ensures that the fuel is fed into the 12 pump elements without any air pockets. The mixture regulator (device no.: 9-2274 K-4) ensures the correct ratio between fuel and air. This has the task of mixing the air sucked in by the charger with the required amount of fuel. The mixture controller regulates the amount of fuel to be injected using these 3 requirements: Boost pressure sensor Dependence of the charge air pressure Altitude pressure sensor Dependence of the flight altitude
