The Luftwaffe Oktant with Averaging Device was used by aircrews for long range flights. Used in many German bombers and transports. It provided accurate reading, using star (sideral) navigation. Very rare German Oktant is all original condition, NEW, working condition with its original complete box with all accessories! Manufactured by C. Plath of Hamburg, it features the original Fl. label, and clearly indicates, Fl. 23750.
It does show the Gerät-Nr. (Device Number) 127-134 B- and and Werk-Nr. (Plant Number) 536750, as well as the Luftwaffe designation for this device, Fl. 23750.
