Type and usage
The FuG16 was a VHF transceiver used to communicate with single seat fighter aircraft for R/T and W/T communications and were also used for ground fixes and DF homing on ground stations when used in conjunction with the FuG 10P or FuG 10ZY.
Original WWII German Luftwaffe FA16 Fernantrieb 16 Remote Tuning Unit, as used on the FuG16 ZY Radio Transceiver. This was used by most frontline fighters and destroyers to communicate with others fighters and bombers and ground stations.
